What is Next Day Delivery?

This June we put a call-out for choreographers, wordsmiths and film-makers to collaborate on a 24 hour video challenge, creating everything from concept through to completion within the time limit. What you will see are the results! If you want to take part, keep an eye on our social media for the next one.

At present there are no plans for another Next Day Delivery series.

Criteria

Your film must be between 3 and 5 minutes long. It must include the elements of hip hop, whether dancing, rapping, graffiti, DJing, etc. It must feature new lyrics, new choreography, and:

  • One specific object

  • One specific line of text

  • A choice of four pieces of music

Your film must contain these three elements, provided by Jonzi D at 12:00 GMT on Saturday 19 June, and must be edited, then delivered, by 12:00 GMT Sunday 20 June.

Additional info

  • Wordsmith = emcee, poet, writer.

  • The choreographer can work with additional dancers, and/or perform themselves.

  • This project is for experienced artists only.

  • Successful applicants will be chosen based on their previous work experience.

How did the artists work together?

We supplied each wordsmith and choreographer:
One specific object,
One specific line of text,
A choice of four pieces of music

...That they had to incorporate in their final video. They then worked together to create the video in just 24 hours - what you see is the results!
